World Humanitarian Day

World Humanitarian Day is a time to honour the dedication and courage of humanitarian workers who step into crises to help others, often at great personal risk.

It is also a moment to stand with the millions of people affected by conflict, disasters and other emergencies whose lives and futures hang in the balance.

Through the global campaign Act for Humanity, the international community is called upon to support humanitarian action, uphold human dignity and reaffirm solidarity with those most in need.

On this day, we pay tribute to all those who work tirelessly to save lives, alleviate suffering and bring hope where it is needed most.
