Portugal Participates in the 113th Session of the International Labour Conference
Between 2nd and 13th of June 2025, Portugal participated in the 113th Session of the International Labour Conference at the International Labour Organization (ILO) headquarters in Geneva.
The Portuguese delegation, representing the tripartite system – government, employers, and workers, engaged in plenary debates, committee discussions, and technical sessions.
Delegates included Ms. Ana Olim (Government), Mr. Manuel Costa (Employers), and Mr. Mário Mourão (Workers). The delegation emphasized Portugal’s commitment to upholding international labour standards, strengthening social dialogue, and promoting multilateral cooperation in the field of work.
During the Conference, the ILC adopted a convention on biological hazards under the leadership of a Portuguese expert, Mr. Luís Claudino de Oliveira highlighting Portugal’s technical contribution to global labour standards.
By actively participating in this multilateral forum, Portugal reinforces its dedication to advancing decent work, fair labour practices, and effective collaboration within the ILO system.
