76th Session of the Executive Committee
At the 76th Session of the Executive Committee, Portugal reasserted its commitment to the UNHCR’s mandate and the principle of international protection and asylum.
We highlighted the importance of complying with International Humanitarian Law and the impact of climate change on the forced displacement of people.
In his last year in office, Portugal also gave a special recognition to Filippo Grandi for the work accomplished as High Commissioner for Refugees.
