Event on Geographical Indications (GIs)
On the 10th July, WIPO celebrated the Lisbon System, which protects Geographical Indications (GIs) and promotes the authenticity of products through their unique connection to the territory and ancestral traditions.
Portugal was present with a selection of artisanal products and a tasting of the best of our gastronomy: wines, cheeses, sausages and bean pastries from Torres Vedras (GI).
The Director General of WIPO, Daren Tang, was present and honoured us with a toast with Moscatel do Douro (GI).
