Presentation of the 6th A4P+ Progress Report

Portugal hosted the presentation of the 6th A4P+ Progress Report on 18 March, alongside an insightful discussion on the future of United Nations peacekeeping. The event, held in New York, featured Under-Secretary-General Jean-Pierre Lacroix as keynote speaker and gathered Member States committed to advancing peace and security.

The meeting reviewed progress under the Action for Peacekeeping Plus (A4P+) initiative and explored ways to strengthen the effectiveness and adaptability of peace operations in response to evolving global challenges. Discussions also highlighted the relevance of the Pact for the Future as a strategic framework for comprehensive UN reform, in close connection with the work of the Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations (C34) and the Peacebuilding Architecture Review (PBAR).
