Portugal Participates in UN Security Council Debate on Conflict-Related Food Insecurity
On 20 November 2025, Portugal took part in the UN Security Council Open Debate on Conflict-Related Food Insecurity, held at UN Headquarters in New York.
In its statement, Portugal stressed that:
- Starvation must never be used as a method of warfare, and humanitarian access must be protected.
- Portugal remains committed to strengthening global action against hunger, both through its humanitarian assistance and development aid.
